I'M LEAVING by intriguedbyhope Published on 10/24/2007

Where I sit, Where I stand,
Where I run and say ""I can!""
Is way too far from what I want,
and way too near a crazy stunt.

The nights I've spent in this place,
Searching high and low the Trace,
Though I know it was a circling path,
and I awaited nothing much...

Those visions I kept by my side,
to guide my walk throughout the night,
Though I know light could be found,
and I don't have to walk around...

......................
..................

Yes I was such a foolish girl,
who wore a foolish dreaming crown,
With a foolish mind that lies,
to keep her false hope safe and sound
Yes I wore thin, ragged clothes,
where silverfish made countless holes,
and foolish, Yes a fool of me to keep,
this part of me, as I daily weep.

......................
..........................

Now...
Its time for me to pack my bags,
The little I have, and all my rags,
and journey past the mountains there,
where I can see her strong red flare.

I'll carry my dreams upfront this time,
not by my side where fear resides
I'll let my visions breathe and run
and let my long-trapped heart decide.

Where I sat and where I stood,
Where I ran and say ""I could!""
was way too far from my heart,
If I stayed, my dreams would never start.

You are always in transit waiting to reach, waiting to stop, take rest and move on!

awesome poem. self-discipline, restraining one back while you try to reach and follow those vivid dreams. love the frustration portrayed and providing an alternative ending :) tc xx

thought of real warrior, know when, where and how to keep the battle or to quit, what matters is life must go on, emotions and rhyme, nice written.

Dissatisfaction and frustration speak clearly from this piece. Moving on to follow dreams may be the spirit's salvation. Nicely done!

Thank you..=) yeah.. dreams are sometimes so frustrating, but its really important to keep a hope inventory and to realize what are our true hopes in life. Thank you for the comment..=) God Bless you.

Poem fits the picture like a good pair of shoes.
